Abstract

Ideals are individual efforts to become someone who is useful and realize the skills or abilities they have to others. Educational psychology is one of the fields in psychology that plays an important role in the teaching and learning process in schools, at elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Several psychological factors that influence the teaching and learning process are attention, intelligence, interest, talent, learning maturity, and motives. The method in implementing community service is carried out in class with 58 students participating with a lecture approach. The implementation of this activity was carried out at the 08 Cibadak Elementary School located in the Cibadak area, Sukabumi, West Java, Indonesia. In the pre-test results obtained, it was found that 89.9% of students answered correctly (as expected); and 10.2% of students answered incorrectly and did not know (not as expected). Then in the post-test results obtained, it was found that 95.8% of students answered correctly; and 4.1% of students answered incorrectly and did not know. Based on the results obtained above, it is known that after being given socialization of material related to ideals, there was an increase in information knowledge in students who previously gave wrong and unknown answers, namely 6.1% and the rest of the students did not give answers to the statement items.
