Pendampingan Perencanaan Karier Berbasis Asesmen Minat dan Bakat Siswa SMK Al-Basith Tasikmalaya

Adolescence is a critical period in individual career development, where they are required to make decisions about their future careers. Vocational high school (SMK) students, in particular, face additional challenges due to the stigma associated with vocational education, such as limited career development or further study plans in higher education. This study aims to provide career planning assistance based on interest and aptitude assessments to SMK Al-Basith Tasikmalaya students. The method used involves mentoring that includes identifying student needs, setting mentoring goals, creating a mentoring plan, implementing the mentoring process, and conducting evaluations and feedback. The results show that career planning assistance based on interest and aptitude assessments yields positive outcomes in helping students develop self-understanding, explore career options, formulate career plans, and make appropriate career decisions. This mentoring also enhances students' motivation and independence in planning their future careers. The implementation of interest and aptitude assessments has proven to be relevant and can be utilized by school counselors in providing guidance and counseling services
